Dr. Michelle Leary is a leading Functional Medicine Physician who is passionate about integrating functional medicine and primary care. She obtained her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University and completed a two-year residency in family medicine. She also completed a neurology apprenticeship program focused on multiple sclerosis through the National MS Society. Currently, she serves as the Director of Functional Medicine for Vida Integrated Health, where she leads the implementation of innovative approaches to functional primary care and longevity medicine. In addition, she is the residency director for the dual IFM-Vida naturopathic functional medicine residency program, providing mentorship to aspiring practitioners in this specialized field. Dr. Leary has pursued extensive training in areas such as sexology, hormone management, and cardiometabolic medicine, allowing her to take a comprehensive approach to patient care. She is certified in Integrative Attachment Theory, which she incorporates into her counseling-centric approach to patient care. In 2017, she obtained her IFMCP certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine and has been invited as a guest lecturer to various esteemed conferences. Dr. Leary was previously involved in clinical research from 2018 to 2021, serving as a clinical research investigator for the LIFEHOUSE trial.
