Regina Druz, MD
Dr. Regina Druz is a board certified cardiologist, a digital transformation leader, and a physician executive. A graduate of the Weill Cornell University School of Medicine, Dr. Druz completed her residency in internal medicine and her cardiovascular fellowship training at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, a preeminent national institution recognized for its excellence in cardiovascular care. Dr. Druz is a national expert in cardiac imaging and a physician executive leader. She served as chief of cardiology in a community hospital in Far Rockaway, New York, and is currently a chairwoman of the American College of Cardiology Health Care Innovation section.
Seeking to prevent and reverse heart disease and not just merely treat the end-stages of it, Dr. Druz immersed herself in the practice of integrative and Functional Medicine. She completed a leadership development program in integrative medicine at Duke University and became a certified Functional Medicine practitioner. She is currently enrolled in the dual degree executive MBA and Master of Science in Healthcare Leadership at the Cornell University SC Johnson School of Management and Weill Cornell University School of Graduate Sciences.
Dr. Druz developed Fit in Your GENES®, a Functional Medicine program that uses personalized assessments and data analytics to reverse cardiac disease risk factors such as inflammation and oxidative stress and halt progression of endovascular damage through targeted lifestyle interventions. After applying it successfully in her practice, Dr. Druz scaled this program into a leading heart hospital providing integrative cardiac care at St. Francis Hospital in New York.
Dr. Druz is a digital health innovator, developing telemedicine and mobile apps focused on integrative and Functional Medicine care. Dr. Druz has authored numerous peer-reviewed research publications and is actively involved in the National Institutes of Health Trial to Assess Chelation Therapy 2 (TACT2). A nationally recognized speaker, Dr. Druz frequently lectures at the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and the Integrative Healthcare Symposium. She is often interviewed as a medical expert by media channels. Dr. Druz aspires to create a sustainable, contemporary cardiology practice paradigm based on Functional Medicine and a holistic, patient-centric approach augmented through data analytics and mobile technology.
