John E. Neely, MD
Dr. John Neely is a Professor of Pediatrics, Humanities, and Family & Community Medicine at The Penn State College of Medicine. Dr. Neely went to medical school at Penn State University and completed his training in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of Minnesota. He returned to Penn State in 1985 to develop the program in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. For most of his career he has been a practicing academic Pediatric Oncologist. However, for the past ten years he turned his interests to developing a program in Integrative Medicine where he has seen both children and adults. Dr. Neely principally practices Functional Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine and is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner.
Dr. Neely currently teaches at Penn State’s Medical School where he trains medical students and residents, including a very popular senior student elective on Integrative Medicine and Functional Medicine. He also has a Functional Medicine consultation service for Pediatric Hematology/Oncology patients.
