David Musnick, MD
David Musnick, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and sports medicine and is certified in Functional Medicine. He has 27 years of clinical experience. His practice, located in Bellevue, WA, focuses on orthopedic and sports injuries, arthritis and autoimmune disorders, pain and opioid management, sleep problems, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and functional internal medicine.
Dr. Musnick has been lecturing on pain management issues for more than 20 years. He developed the Functional Medicine approach and model of pain management in 2008 for IFM’s Annual International Conference (AIC). He has extensive experience with chronic musculoskeletal and visceral pain and TBI as well as hypermobility disorders. He has extensive experience working with patients with chronic pain to determine the underlying causes as well as matrix and lifestyle issues, genomics, and effective methods of treatment. He is a very dynamic and practical speaker giving many practical pearls in his IFM AIC lectures. He is an expert in exercise prescription, pain management, frequency-specific microcurrent treatment, and prolotherapy as well as genomics and Functional Medicine methods to treat small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), mood disorders, and insomnia. He is the author of numerous book chapters, including “Osteoarthritis” and “Tendinopathy” in Metabolic Therapies in Orthopedics (CRC Press, 2018).
Dr. Musnick is on the faculty at the University of Washington in both the Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine and the Department of Rehabilitation.
